Salmonberry Trail Foundation And Affiliates Volunteer Waiver

Release and Indemnification:

By accepting this waiver, I am forever releasing, waiving, and discharging the Salmonberry Trail Foundation, the Salmonberry Trail Intergovernmental Agency, and each of its individual members and ex-officio members from liability in the event of injury or death while participating in any project sponsored by the Salmonberry Trail Foundation. For purposes of this Release and Indemnity Agreement, the Salmonberry Trail Foundation, the Salmonberry Trail Intergovernmental Agency, and each of its individual members and ex-officio members shall be collectively referred to as the “Released Parties.”

Acknowledgment of Procedures and Safety Protocols:

I commit to adhering to all procedures set by the Salmonberry Trail Foundation, including meeting at designated outdoor points, following current health guidelines (like those for COVID-19), and respecting instructions from volunteer leaders. I understand that failure to follow these guidelines could result in the termination of my volunteer status.

Awareness of Risks:

I acknowledge that volunteering involves outdoor activities, the use of construction tools, potential exposure to wilderness hazards, and other unforeseen natural events. I accept these risks as part of my participation.

Waiver of Claims:

In consideration for permitting me to participate in the projects sponsored by the Salmonberry Trail Foundation, I, for my family, my estate, and myself, hereby waive any right to recovery and claims of liability against the Released Parties, their elected officials, officers, employees, volunteers, agents, representatives and any other person working on behalf of each, including claims for bodily injury, including death, personal injury and/or property damage and release the Released Parties harmless for any loss or damages resulting from the foregoing waiver and release.

Consent for Use of Image:

I permit the use of my image in photographs or videos taken during volunteering by the Salmonberry Trail Foundation and its partners without any claim for compensation.

Code of Conduct:

As a volunteer, I pledge to uphold the Foundation's values of respect, diversity, and safety. This includes treating everyone with respect, adhering to policies against harassment and sexual harassment, and engaging in safe practices. Disputes or issues should be reported to the Volunteer Coordinator or Executive Director. Any form of harassment will be investigated, and necessary action will be taken, including potential termination of volunteering.

Safety Compliance:

I agree to abide by all safety regulations and understand that failure to comply with safety or conduct codes may result in being asked to leave the volunteer program.
