Marketing Study Underway
Development of an initial strategic marketing plan for the Salmonberry Trail is now underway, supported by a grant from Travel Oregon, the statewide travel and tourism advocacy organization. The eventual marketing plan, expected by September 2017, will refine trail identity, identify the full range of potential trail users, markets and strategies to reach them, and establish unified messaging for the trail.
Huen LLC of Portland is assisting the Salmonberry Trail Intergovernmental Agency (STIA) with this work. This spring, Cody Barnickel and Rebecca Huston of Huen will be gathering input from a broad range of market sectors through workshops and interviews.
Following workshops and interviews, Huen will work with STIA and staff to identify a marketing advisory committee that will act as a forum for ongoing review and discussion of marketing strategies as the project moves forward.
